The University is reaping its fruits of hard work with the granting of full accreditation to all its courses during the last accreditation exercise, conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the year 2019. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako disclosed this while speaking during an interview on FUNAAB Radio 89.5 FM, to commemorate two years anniversary of the Radio Station. According to the Vice-Chancellor, all the programmes presented had Full Accreditation, except Mechatronics in the College of Engineering, which had Interim Accreditation.

Prof. Salako also added that FUNAAB was the first University to go for the African Centre of Excellence International Accreditation. He described FUNAAB as “doing well” in terms of academic programmes. In an earlier appreciation letter written by the Vice-Chancellor to members of the University community, Prof. Salako said that the feat was achieved because of the support of stakeholders, particularly staff and students of the University. He appreciated the Governing Council, under the leadership of Dr. Barr. Aboki Zhawa, which he described as very supportive in approving funds invested in the accreditation exercise.

The Vice-Chancellor equally thanked Principal Officers that worked with him during the period as well as Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments and Units of the University, who he described as “wonderful” for their supportive roles towards the exercise, as he charged them not to rest on their oars in making FUNAAB great, noting that “Excellence is limitless” when it comes to making the University attain greater heights.
