The University Librarian, Dr. Kehinde Abayomi Owolabi has lifted  FUNAAB Staff School with the much needed annual endowment of an Academic Award for the Best Library User among the pupils.

Dr. Owolabi who is an unrepentant advocate of pragmatic exploration and deploration of Library resources for individual capacity development towards a better society and nation building announced the endowment at the 2023 Prize-Giving ceremony of FUNAAB Staff School, which he attended in his capacity as the University Librarian, following his assumption of office recently.

Dr. Owolabi who graced the occasion as Special Guest of Honour disclosed that the aim of the Award is to promote reading culture among the pupils.

In her response, Mrs. Florence Alade, the Head Teacher of the School appreciated the University Librarian for the gesture which she commended, describing it as exemplary and emulatable.

She promised  to strengthen the School robust relationship with  ‘Nimbe -Adedipe Library and poised to tap from the University Librarian wealth of knowledge and milk of kindness to develop Staff School.
