The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, has reaffirmed the University’s commitment to improving the academic excellence of FUNAAB Staff School.
Speaking at the school’s 2024 Prize-Giving ceremony on July 25, 2024, Prof. Kehinde, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi, highlighted the University’s investments in the school’s infrastructural development, assuring enhanced support for it.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the parents and the graduating pupils on their achievements and encouraged the outgoing pupils to be good ambassadors of the school.
Prof. Akinyemi, in his capacity as the Chairman, FUNAAB Schools Management Board, urged the pupils to continue to display virtues of excellence and good character in their academics and moral behaviour.
He prayed for the pupils’ success both within Nigeria and abroad, emphasising the importance of trusting in God, always.
In his speech as the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Adeyanju Awoso, who was represented by Mr. Ayokunle Okunowo, congratulated the pupils and admonished them to focus on their studies to achieve success.
Earlier in her Welcome Address, the Headteacher, Mrs. Florence Alade, appreciated the University Management’s support and advised the children to utilise their holiday time wisely and productively.
The event featured cultural and drama presentations by the pupils, and a farewell speech, including gift presentations to Award winners.
