Food Waste Assessment on FUNAAB Campus
This assessment was carried out using sampled popular food vendors of low, medium and high class in FUNAAB patronized by both staff and students from colleges to students food canteen joints on campus. Managers of selected food restaurants on campus were saddled with responsibility of gathering food waste from estimated number of plates eaten by staff and students daily. The idea is to estimate the weight (Kg) of food waste on daily basis for the first two weeks in the month of October, 2023. With this initial record, the SDG2 team members intend to make logical useful projections monthly and annual food waste on FUNAAB campus.
