The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in collaboration with the Wellness Africa Foundation (WAF), through its Right to Health & Vision Initiative, is set to commence a free health and vision screening programme for members of staff as part of efforts to promote healthy living, early detection and workplace safety.
Tagged “See to Be Safe”, the programme is scheduled to hold from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 5, 2026 , at the NHIA Building, commencing daily at 10:00 a.m. The initiative is targeted particularly at Security Staff, including Sheriff Deputies and Drivers, as well as other members of staff.
According to a memo by the Director, Directorate of Health Services, Dr. Oluseyi Anjorin, the programme is designed to facilitate the early detection of health and vision-related conditions while promoting the overall well-being and safety of staff.
The memo further stated that, to ensure smooth participation and effective service delivery, the first 200 staff members to register each day would be attended to.
Interested staff members are encouraged to commence registration from Friday, August 28, 2026, at the NHIA Desk Office, Directorate of University Health Services.
