The FUNAAB Zoo Park recently played host to a heartwarming alumni reunion of the 1984-1986 sets of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (formerly the School of Agriculture). The visit was facilitated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development, Prof. Kola Adebayo, a proud alumnus of the College and an ardent supporter of the Zoo Park.

The event was a delightful blend of nostalgia and camaraderie, as old friends and colleagues reconnected after decades apart. The alumni expressed their admiration for the remarkable strides in conservation and ecological efforts led by the Zoo Park’s Director, Prof. Sammy Sam-Wobo, commending the University’s commitment to preserving biodiversity.

The visitors were warmly welcomed by Mr. Hussein Saibu and Mr. Olawale Somoye, who ensured they had a memorable and engaging experience. Touched by the progress and hospitality, the alumni pledged to return for another visit.

The reunion was a testament to the enduring bonds forged through education and a celebration of the legacy shared between FUNAAB and its stakeholders.
