Meanwhile speaking at a Reception  in honour of the Vice Chancellor’s 60th birthday, the students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), led by the President of the Students Union, Comrade Michael Oloyede and his National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ogun Joint Campus Committee counterpart, Comrade Damilola Simeon endorsed the leadership of Prof. Kolawole Salako for effective administration of the university, leadership acumen and unflinching positive support towards students’ course.

The student leaders who made the declaration while felicitating with the Vice Chancellor on his 60th birthday described him as a father who always support them whenever they ran to him.

Appreciating the virtues of the Vice-Chancellor further, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Abeokuta also inducted Prof. Salako as it Patron. The Induction came as an icing on the cake for Prof. Salako on his Birthday celebration.

Breaking the news to the gathering, Ven. Dr. Samson Poopola who led the PCRC team to the venue said, “The members of the PCRC have inducted Prof. Salako as its Patron and felicitated with him on his diamond age”.

 Also, the immediate past Chairman, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Ogun State Chapter, Mr. Tope Daramola described the Vice Chancellor as an Icon of Public Relations in Nigeria.
