… Set to Train Selected FUNAAB Staff from Monday
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), today, September 12, 2025, played host to a delegation from the German Development Agency (GIZ) and GOPA Worldwide Consultants, as part of collaborative efforts to strengthen entrepreneurship education within the University.
The visit came ahead of the Train-the-Trainers, Facilitators, and Coaches (ToTFCs) programme on the Inspire-Create-Start-Scale (ICSS) Entrepreneurship modules, scheduled to hold from Monday, September 15 to Saturday, September 20, 2025, for selected FUNAAB staff.
Welcoming the delegation on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) reaffirmed FUNAAB’s commitment to entrepreneurship development, describing the University as an entrepreneurial hub that fosters research, innovation, and enterprise growth among staff and students.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasised that FUNAAB remained dedicated to producing graduates with entrepreneurial mindsets, sound academic grounding, and practical expertise capable of driving economic growth and sustainability.
Commending FUNAAB’s foresight, Mr. Peik Bruhns, Team Lead of GIZ-SEDIN GOPA Worldwide, lauded the University for adopting the ICSS Entrepreneurship Development modules and for co-hosting the training. He described FUNAAB as a “torchbearer for other higher institutions in Ogun State.”
Meanwhile, it would be recalled that the Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS) had earlier, on July 2, 2025, organised a One-Day Workshop for course coordinators and lecturers to integrate the ICSS modules into the University’s curriculum. The upcoming ToTFC training represents a further step in building institutional capacity for effective entrepreneurship education.
The ICSS Entrepreneurship modules, certified for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Business Development, are designed to provide students with practical skills to navigate global realities.
