A Professor of Reproductive Biology and Plant Systematic, Muyiwa Ayodele of the Department of Pure and Applied Botany, College of Biological Sciences (COLBIOS) of the University, has been described as a man with passion for what he does, who maintains cordial relationship with his colleagues and students. For these outstanding contribution to the University and humanity at large, he was celebrated by colleagues and students in his department.
At the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Bolanle Akeredolu-Ale, noted that FUNAAB would miss Prof. Ayodele and prayed that God would continue to bless him in his future endeavours. The Vice-Chancellor also appreciated members of Prof. Ayodele’s family for taking good care of him throughout his sojourn in public service as an academic. The Dean, COLBIOS, Prof. Oluseyi Akinloye, who was also represented by the Deputy Dean, Dr. Gabriel Dedeke, thanked the staff members present for coming out to honour the Don. Responding, Prof. Ayodele appreciated all for organising a befitting send-forth party for him.
