Mission
To stimulate, inculcate and integrate a better understanding of the policies, decisions and programmes of the University with the stakeholders through effective propagation of the ideals of the University towards the actualization of the tripodal mandate of Teaching, Research and Community Engagement.
Brief Introduction
The Directorate of Public Relations in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office is basically in charge of the corporate communications and image management of the University. It is responsible for the management and dissemination of information among stakeholders..
The Directorate strives to stimulate a better understanding of the policies, decisions and programmes of the University with the stakeholders, through the creation of necessary awareness required for regular social and financial supports; ensures that the University, as a corporate body maintains cordial relations with its host community, through sound Town and Gown interactions; and showcases research findings and laudable achievements of the University.
Operationally, the Directorate is structured into three units, viz:
- Media and Information,
- Protocol and Passages and
- Technical.
