Dr.OshadareSegun started his professional career with Winsome consulting as a Senior financial and Management consultant about 33 years ago and has professional experience spanning Banking, Human Capital Management, Academia and Accountancy.
At winsome consulting, he managed the HR department with responsibilities on developing various HR and finance programs that fits organizational needs. He left Winsomefor the banking sector for 10years where he pioneered and played key roles in managing the banks business transformation rising to the post of Head, Business Development and Finance, managing several portfolios that transformed the bank’s assets and markets. He left the bank to lead the Finance and Account Department at Dana Plc, a multinational company from where he joined Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta as a lecturer.
He is an Alumnus of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), University of Benin (UNIBEN), Lagos state University (LASU) and Lagos State University of Education (LASUED).He holds an M.Phil./PhD in Finance from Uniben, Masters in Finance from UNILAG, Masters in Business Administration from LASU and two (2) B.Sc. degrees in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin, Benin City and Banking and Finance degree from Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos. He is a microfinance bank certified Banker by CIBN (MCIB) with an NCE in Mathematics from LASUED. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and ICAN. He was elected a Council Member of CIBN 2022. He became a Chartered Accountant in 2010 and is a full Member of the Chartered institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria(CIPM) and Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Management(NIM).He holds the diplomas of the CIPM and NIM. He is an entrepreneur with interest in fisheries and aquaculture, and has been a certified coach/mentor on the GIZ Startup loop (Nigeria/Germany initiative).
He heads the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Ogun State as Chairman, and serves as Secretary of the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN),Ogun State. He sits on the boards of some companies and is a member of many professional bodies committees covering education, curriculum and membership development. He is an award winner with National Mathematical Centre, best student 2002 CIBN Examinations and has the African Union network of Scientist Commendation in 2017. He has published extensively in local and international journals with industry accepted publications on financial inclusion and economic growth of Nigeria in addition to the publication on influence of financial inclusion on economic growth of Nigeria and United Kingdom. He also took a study on the influence of financial inclusion on economic growth of selected African Countries. He has served as an examiner for ICAN, CIPM, CIBN, University of Johannesburg and the federal Government initiative on entrepreneurial development and contest. He has also developed financing modules for various states and local government in Nigeria. He has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree
He is married with children and his hobbies include reading, writing and playing football.
