The Governing Council and Management of FUNAAB have frowned at the increasing rate of encroachment by various individuals and groups on University land. According to the Registrar, Dr. ‘Bola Adekola, in recent times, various nefarious activities relating to kidnapping, rituals, establishment of fringe religious groups, unauthorised farming, felling of timbers and mining are being carried out on University land with reports given to, and obtained from law enforcement agencies.

The Registrar disclosed that in order to put a stop to these illegal activities, the University Management had taken a firm decision to eject illegal occupiers on the land. Consequently, all occupiers without formal and express permission of the University are hereby given a 14-day ultimatum to vacate the land and after this period, there would not be any further warning before the University would deploy appropriate legal means to flush out all illegal occupiers.
