The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has kicked off preparations for the highly anticipated 2025 Staff Unity Games. The event, designed to foster camaraderie and wellness among University staff members, promises an exciting blend of competition and community interaction.

Part of the initial plan was a strategic planning meeting, convened by the Director of Sports, Dr. Samuel Olabanji, today, May 28, 2025.

The meeting, which had representatives from all Directorates and Colleges in attendance, outlined the plans for the successful hosting of the Unity Games.

The Game is scheduled to commence on June 30, 2025. The week-long event would feature a range of sporting activities, including graded and ungraded events.

The graded events would include Football, Table Tennis, Badminton, Tennis, Chess and Squash, while ungraded events such as Scrabble, Volleyball, Basketball among others would be available to encourage widespread participation.

The event would begin with an elaborate Opening Ceremony, marked by a colourful march past, involving all participating colleges.
