As part of arrangements for its forthcoming 33rd Convocation Ceremony, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has announced a temporary traffic control measure to ensure smooth vehicular movement on the event day.

According to a memo issued by the Revenue Enhancement and Monitoring Unit (REMU), a ₦500 event toll would be charged on all vehicles accessing the University through the Ceremonial Gate on Saturday, January 31, 2026 . The initiative is aimed at effectively managing the expected surge in traffic and supporting logistical operations for the convocation ceremony.

The memo clarified that University staff presenting valid FUNAAB identity cards would be exempted from the payment.

The Head of REMU, Mr. Vincent Komolafe, urged members of the University Community, as well as invited guests, to take note of the arrangement and cooperate with relevant officials, as the University intensifies preparations for a successful and hitch-free convocation ceremony.
