The University Librarian of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Abayomi Owolabi, has assured officials from Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) of continuous support as they transition into their new status as a University of Education.
Prof. Owolabi gave the assurance during a Courtesy Visit by AFUED Library officials to FUNAAB’s Nimbe Adedipe Library. The visit was aimed at understudying the structure and operations of the Library to enhance its capacity for effective service delivery.
Welcoming the delegation, Prof. Owolabi reiterated FUNAAB’s commitment to providing guidance and assistance to ensure a seamless transition from a College of Education to a full-fledged university. He emphasised the critical role of continuous training for staff and students, noting that a well-equipped library was essential to academic excellence. He also urged the AFUED team to prioritise staff welfare, as a motivated workforce contributes significantly to institutional growth and efficiency.

Additionally, Prof. Owolabi encouraged the visiting officials to remain dedicated, loyal, and supportive of their University Librarian, highlighting teamwork and commitment as key factors in successful Library Administration.
In response, the University Librarian of AFUED, Dr. Adeola Afolabi, expressed profound gratitude to Prof. Owolabi and his team for the warm reception and invaluable insights shared during the visit. She affirmed that the lessons learned would be instrumental in strengthening their library operations and ensuring they meet the highest standards of University Library Administration.
The visit also provided an opportunity for knowledge-sharing between the officials of both institutions, further solidifying the collaborative relationship between FUNAAB and AFUED.
