The Governing Council of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) today, May 1, 2025, celebrated one of its distinguished members, Prof. Folake Henshaw, as she marked her 66th birthday in grand style.

The celebration took place during a Special Council Meeting held at the serene La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, where members of the Council, led by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odundun IV, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji Land, honoured the renowned academic.

Prof. Henshaw, who represents the Senate on the Governing Council, is a trailblazer in her field and a respected pioneer staff of the University. A former Dean of the College of Food Science and Human Ecology (COLFHEC), she has contributed immensely to the growth and academic excellence of FUNAAB through her leadership and mentorship.

Visibly elated, Prof. Henshaw expressed profound gratitude to the Pro-Chancellor and other Council members for the warm gesture, describing the moment as both humbling and memorable. She reaffirmed her commitment to the continued development of the University.

The celebration was marked with Goodwill Messages, prayers, and a symbolic cake-cutting session in honour of the celebrant, reflecting the unity and camaraderie among members of the Council.
