Mercy Link Partners with AMREC-FUNAAB to Advocate Against Domestic Violence

A Non-Governmental Organisation, Mercy Link, is set to collaborate with the Agricultural Media Resources and Extension Centre (AMREC), of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) to host a Capacity-Building Workshop aimed at mitigating domestic violence.

According to a joint statement signed by the Coordinator of the Gender Issues and Youth Development (GIYD) Programme, Dr. Olubukola Idowu, and the Secretary of Mercy Link, Mr. Tunde Solanke, the collaboration would provide an opportunity to train trainers in advocacy against domestic violence. The Workshop, tagged “Advocacy for Mitigation of Domestic Violence,” is scheduled to commemorate the International Women’s Day.

The statement further disclosed that the training workshop would take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the AMREC Seminar Room, starting at 12:00 p.m., with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m.
