The National Universities Commission (NUC) Resource Assessment Team, tasked with evaluating FUNAAB’s newly proposed affiliate Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes in collaboration with the Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB), and the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igbo-ora, paid a Courtesy Visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, today, January 10, 2025, before commencing their assessment.
Welcoming the Team, Prof. Kehinde expressed his appreciation for their visit, reaffirming FUNAAB’s commitment to expanding access to quality education in agriculture and allied disciplines through strategic partnerships with affiliate institutions. He emphasised that the University remained focused on fostering academic excellence and societal impact.
Speaking on behalf of the Team, Prof. Mohamud Daoda highlighted the NUC’s objective of providing constructive and unbiased feedback to enhance programme quality. He reassured the Vice-Chancellor that the visit was aimed at supporting FUNAAB’s academic goals and ensuring that the proposed programmes align with national standards rather than being a fault-finding mission.
Also present at the meeting were the Rector of OYSCATECH, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi, alongside members of his management team, and senior officials from FCAIB.
Following the Courtesy Visit, the NUC Resource Assessment Team proceeded to FCAIB to commence their evaluation duties.
