VC Visits New Police Commissioner

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako has paid a courtesy visit to the new Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Mr. Edward Ajogun in his office at the State Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta. Congratulating the new CP on his appointment, the Vice-Chancellor described the University as a friend of the command that had enjoyed cordial relationship with previous leaderships of the police by constantly ensuring the security of lives and property in FUNAAB and adjoining communities.

Prof. Salako recalled the recent menace around the adjoining communities hosting privately-owned hostels and the active role played by the CP, who was then DCP, Operations in Ogun State. According to him, the then DCP passed a clear message to perpetrators of the evil deeds, which brought about peace to the communities. The Vice-Chancellor reiterated his belief in the age-old slogan that “The Police is Your Friend”, while assuring him of the University’s continued support and cooperation. Responding, CP Ajogun appreciated the Vice-Chancellor and assured him of stronger relationship with FUNAAB.
