The Service featured an offering of prayers, reflections, and an inspiring sermon delivered by the University Chaplain, Prof. Christian Ikeobi.

Drawing from the biblical account of Isaac digging wells (Genesis 26:15), the sermon, themed around resilience, vision, and the creation of lasting value, encouraged attendees to emulate Isaac’s persistence in building resources for sustainable growth. Prof. Ikeobi, the immediate past Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), urged the University Community to embrace hard work, innovation, and a visionary mindset to build a lasting legacy for future generations.

Prof. Ikeobi encouraged the congregation to remain purposeful, impactful, and dedicated to fostering positive change within the University and beyond. “By continuously ‘digging wells,’ FUNAAB and its stakeholders can ensure enduring progress, innovation, and relevance,” he remarked, concluding the sermon with prayers for the University’s continued success and the seamless execution of the 32nd Convocation Ceremony.
