The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Safety Club held its Passing Out Parade and Induction Ceremony on June 5, 2025, to usher in new members and formally inaugurate newly elected officers.
Delivering her remarks at the event, the Cadet-in-Chief, Cadet Omosewa Soyinka, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God and appreciated the dedication and resilience of all cadets throughout their training journey. She noted that although the journey was challenging, divine guidance and teamwork helped them persevere.

Highlighting some of the club’s recent achievements, Cadet Soyinka listed the renovation of the Command’s base, procurement of new training equipment, organisation of a camping exercise for all members, and the fostering of a cordial relationship with the University Management.
She also acknowledged the various challenges facing students, particularly financial and psychological stress, urging all stakeholders to remain supportive of student welfare.
The event saw the induction of two new members, Maurice Solomon and Popoola Victor into the Safety Club. Additionally, the newly appointed executives were officially sworn in. These include Cadet Omosewa Soyinka as Cadet-in-Chief, Ajayi Olawunmi as Deputy Cadet-in-Chief, and Adeniyi Solomon as Chief Provost Marshal.

Present at the ceremony were the Staff Adviser to the FUNAAB Safety Club, Mrs. Olukemi Fashina, representatives from other institutions including Olawale Oladimeji from the Nigeria Safety Club, Olabisi Onabanjo University Command; and Atanda Mayowa, Onifade Julius, and Ajilogba Aanuoluwapo from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Command.
The event marked another milestone in the Club’s mission to promote safety consciousness and civic responsibility within the University Community.
