The Lakem Support Foundation has donated food items to students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), as part of efforts aimed at supporting students’ welfare and alleviating food challenges during the examination period.
The humanitarian gesture, led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Mrs. Olukemi Fashina, featured the distribution of essential food items, including garri, rice, sugar, sachet tomatoes, sachet pepper, groundnut oil, salt, and seasoning cubes to students of the University.

Speaking during the presentation of the welfare packages, the Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. Festus Adeosun, commended the Foundation for its consistent commitment to the welfare and well-being of students.
According to him, the Lakem Support Foundation had continued to demonstrate compassion and dedication towards students through various interventions organised on yearly and semester bases. He described the initiative as impactful and student-centred, noting that it had continued to provide relief and encouragement to beneficiaries within the University Community.
Prof. Adeosun, while appreciating the Foundation on behalf of the students, stated that the support would go a long way in assisting the beneficiaries academically and socially, particularly during the examination period.

Speaking on behalf of the Foundation, Mrs. Fashina explained that the donation formed part of the organisation’s broader humanitarian efforts targeted at supporting students in tertiary institutions. She added that similar interventions had also been extended to other institutions, including the Federal College of Education (FCE), Osiele.
