Management Commends Dr. Ojo on Retirement

The University Management has lauded the immediate past Director of the Directorate of Environmental Management (DEM) of the University, Dr. Akinpelu Ojo for being hardworking and dedicated to duty. Speaking at a sent-forth programme held in his honour, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kolawole Salako appreciated God for allowing him to retire safely. Prof. Salako commended Dr. Ojo for his maturity and expertise in providing quality leadership and for the immense support accorded him by members of his family, especially when the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was ravaging the country.

Responding, Dr. Ojo said he was overwhelmed with the honour bestowed on him, recalling that he joined the services of the University in 1991 as a Senior Farm Officer and rose through the ranks to become the Director of DEM. He disclosed further that despite the many challenges he had to contend with on the job, he thanked the University Management for making the huge task easy for him by providing the resources required for the day-to-day running of his office, as he prayed for greater achievements for FUNAAB.
