The Nigeria Library Association (NLA) Ogun State Chapter, led by its Chairman, Dr. Godwin Oyewole, along with the Vice-Chairman, Dr. Bosede Ajiboye and the Secretary, Comrade Saheed Olawepo, paid a Courtesy Visit to the University Librarian, Dr. Abayomi Owolabi.
Dr. Oyewole during the visit extolled Dr. Owolabi’s dynamic leadership, citing the flurry of activities and advancements during his tenure, as reported across various media platforms.
Seeking support, Dr. Oyewole urged Dr. Owolabi to rally Librarians for the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), and ensure their financial contributions to the Association are up to date.
In response, Dr. Owolabi, reflecting on his journey in librarianship, pledged unwavering support to elevate NLA’s standing in Nigeria.
The promise was sealed with immediate payment of his AGM fees and commitment to settle institutional dues promptly, ensuring financial compliance from all Library staff.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Library, showcasing Dr. Owolabi’s vision for its future.
