Mrs. Fauziyah Adenekan has been honoured by The Martinson Development Initiative (TMDI) for her exemplary competence and dedication to service delivery.

Presenting the award at the ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library, the Chief Executive Officer, TMDI, Bishop Richard Oluwatoyin acknowledged Mrs. Adenekan’s consistent availability and contributions, particularly in delivering training papers for Nigerian University students.

Bishop Oluwatoyin stressed that the recognition was well-deserved, noting that Mrs. Adenekan’s commitment was not only a source of encouragement but also a motivator for others to emulate her work ethic.

He highlighted TMDI’s mission to break barriers and build bridges for underprivileged students in Nigerian Universities.

Bishop Oluwatoyin reiterated the organisation’s focus on providing entrepreneurship courses to undergraduates and paving the way for a better future for graduates across the country.

He said that numerous students have already achieved their goals through TMDI’s initiatives.

In his Address, the University Librarian, Dr. Abayomi Owolabi said he was proud of Mrs. Adenekan’s recognition, while he appreciated Bishop Richard Oluwatoyin for deeming Mrs. Adenekan worthy of the honour.

He underscored the University’s commitment to entrepreneurship education as he suggested a collaboration between TMDI and the University’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS) to help the youths and contribute to the transformation of Nigeria.

In her response, Mrs. Adenekan expressed gratitude to Bishop Richard Oluwatoyin and TMDI for the honour, pledging her continued support for the organisation and belief in mentoring younger individuals.

Meanwhile, at a Conference on Leadership and Good Citizenship tagged, “Transform Nigeria 2023”, held earlier at Lifeway Covenant Church, Abeokuta, Mrs. Adenekan discussed extensively “Technology, Entrepreneurship, and the Youth”. According to her, the three Ms of Money included Make Money, Manage Money, and Multiply Money.

Appreciating Mrs. Adenekan for her depth of knowledge and contributions to the discourse on transforming Nigeria, Mr. Steve Okeleji, the Chief Executive Officer of Aquatic Hub Afrique and an alumnus of FUNAAB commended her for the insightful presentation.
